It’s difficult to look at or listen to Aaron Carter without wondering how it took so long for him to get his ass kicked, but the pop star claims it finally happened, sort of. Carter is currently touring the US for his come back album, After Party. He’s been to all the really cool places, like here in Sioux Falls. Aaron, younger brother of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, made his way to Boston for a performance and ran into the fiercest gang of hooligans on the Eastern Seaboard, New Kids on the Block fans.
It’s understandable. New Kids on the Block do warn in their earlier songs that if you cross their path you will get stomped. Fans don’t forget things like that. Obviously if Carter had paid a little respect and known what was good for him he would have paid homage to the boy band before testing the faith of their fans. He did not. Carter claims that he was accosted by the over-zealous fans when leaving a Boston restaurant. One man yelled, ’I heard you’re doing a show here tomorrow. This is the town of the New Kids.’ Then, Carter alleges, 3 men jumped out of a Chevy Malibu and attempted to kick his skinny ass. Too bad for them they didn’t know Carter is a ’6th degree black belt in Muay Thai…’
Carter Tweeted and Instagrammed pics of himself post Battle Royale and thanked his fans for being awesome and supportive. He later stated on Twitter that he’s not saying the assailants were NKotB fans, just that one mentioned he was in their territory.
Now I’m not saying he is lying. I am not saying a NKotB fan can’t kick Aaron Carter’s ass, I truly believe one could. What I’m saying is how many NKotB fans are violent? They were popular before I graduated high school which means most of them are going to be in the 35-45 age range. It’s hardly the time in one’s life where you might go out and kick the crap out of a performer for being in your band’s town. It seems highly improbable that this NKotB connection is true. Carter declined to file a police report because that would be “girlie”. Instead he shared the entirely uncorroborated event with his social media fans. For all we know he might have had the crap kicked out of him by a local Girl Scout troop. This actually seems more plausible.
