Chinese Man Divorces And Sues Wife For Having ‘Ugly’ Baby… AND WINS!

They say love is blind, but this apparently isn’t the case for one man in Northern China. Jian Feng said when he married, it was “out of love” for his wife. Of course, it didn’t hurt that she was pretty easy on the eyes either. Yup, with a pretty wife and, soon after, a baby on the way, life was looking pretty sweet for Feng…

Until their daughter was born…

That’s when things started to turn sour. To Feng’s surprise, their precious, beautiful baby girl wasn’t all that beautiful. In fact, to put it in Feng’s words, the child was so ”incredibly ugly”. So much so, he couldn’t believe she was theirs.

I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues. Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me.

“Horrified”?! This really makes me wonder what this child could possibly look like.

Daaaaddddy? Don’ts you loves us?

Sorry, I know, that was horrible of me.

As I was saying, though, Feng was really upset and confused by this turn of events. He became convinced his wife had an affair. That was the only way he thought his smokin’ hot wife could ever produce such an ugly child (Note: he never considered his own genetic contribution to be a factor in all this).

This is where the plot thickens, as they say. After a DNA test proved the wife’s fidelity and that Feng was, in fact, the baby daddy, she fessed up as to the real cause of her husband’s distress. As it so turns out, the woman Feng loved with all his heart was holding back a deep, dark secret about herself. To Feng’s surprise, his lovely wife wasn’t always so lovely.

She confessed that, before she met Feng, she had undergone about $100,000 in cosmetic surgery in South Korea and never bothered to tell him about it at anytime during their relationship. The child had only inherited her looks from before she was pretty.

But that’s okay. Right? I mean, he was in love with her after all and everybody knows love goes beyond physical beauty. You don’t marry someone just on their looks, you marry them for the beauty you see on the inside. Not to mention, this is their child we’re talking about! The product of their love. Surely you’d think some things could be overlooked.

Right?

WRONG! Or, at least, as far as Feng was concerned. He promptly divorced his wife last year after learning of her deception, saying that she convinced him to marry her under false pretenses. But wait! Before you start hating the guy, you should know there’s more to the story. As the whole tangled mass unravels, we also learned that Feng filed a lawsuit against his wife for not only lying to him, but for birthing such an ugly child.

Okay… NOW hate the guy.

Feng not only sued his wife for the deception which led to the… um… inferior aesthetic quality of their offspring, but won! (I’m really tired of saying “ugly baby”.) The judge saw in the ex-husband’s favor and awarded him $120,000 in damages (So, yes, we can gather from this that the judge is probably an asshole too).

As for Feng’s ex, it’s safe to say she feeling pretty low about the whole situation. Who wouldn’t? The only good thing I see coming out of all this for her is that she’s now no longer married to such an obviously vain and conceited douche-canoe. This is one of the few times divorce can be good news. Plus, as unfortunate as it is that their daughter faces a future growing up without her father in her life, just imagine the type of life she would  have had growing up with him as a father.

Hope they can find the silver-lining.
