An unnamed football fan, that’s soccer to you yanks, decided it would be a grand idea to leave his dog tied up in the on the training field for Franck Ribery to find and take home. He even left a nice note explaining the situation. It seems that the fan had come to a dead end with his dog, Oito, being classified as a “fighting dog” and he could no longer keep her. I have great sympathy for this particular plight but to leave her tied up to be somebody else’s problem, is not the answer. I mean, I knew football fans were crazy, but this takes it to a whole new level.
So then this fan finds out that Ribery didn’t keep the dog and he once again sneaks into the training area to find Ribery in the locker room but this time, he gives Ribery a piece of his mind for not solving his problems. How is this guy even allowed to get into the locker room? And as it turns out that Ribery wasn’t even aware that the dog was left for him, in fact, the people who found the dog, took her to a shelter.
Sometimes it does feel like we know celebrities and we’re sure that they’d like us, help us solve our non-celebrity problems and want to hang out. I just know that if David Duchovny and I were ever in the same room, we’d be the bestest of friends. However, the next time you’re contemplating abandoning an animal for a celebrity to take care of, remember you’re not Dumbledore, leaving Harry Potter on the Dursley’s doorstep to raise for eleven years, you’re just some guy who’s a bit off his rocker.

um. what? there are so many things I don’t understand. why did he single out this guy to take his dog? why not just leave it at a shelter? is he just that much of a soccer fan? did Ribery want a dog or something? so weird.

Sounds a little stalkery to me… I think there might be something larger going on here, and the poor puppy is a pawn.
