Some hate him. Some love him. Some cringe at his verbal abuse to his aspiring chefs while others love his ‘tell it like it is’ attitude. Wherever on the spectrum you may fall at, Gordon Ramsay has his share of critics and supporters. One critic wants to sue the chef of Hell’s Kitchen.
His mother-in-law.
Turns out that Ramsay’s father-in-law, Chis Hutcheson, ran the whole Ramsay business until they had an abrupt falling out last year. Ramsay in turn fired Hutcheson and his father-in-law has accused Gordon of ‘violent mood swings’ and suggested that he was on drugs. Ramsay denies that claim.
Now Gordon’s mother-in-law, Greta Hutcheson, wants to sue for breach of contract, unfair dismissal, breach of working times and failure to pay redundancies. The entire in-law family is getting in on the action with the Hutcheson’s son and his grandson also suing Ramsay under similar charges. Greta even went as far as sending a letter to Tana, Gordon’s wife and daughter of Chris and Greta, explaining how she really feels about Gordon.
“Tana, you are not welcome anywhere near our door. I cannot believe that you have done this to your father. Until you dispose of that man, you are not welcome back.”
Ramsay battled back by publishing an open letter begging his mother-in-law to see her daughter, claiming that his wife was “in floods of tears.” He wrote, “You’re punishing your daughter and our four children for all the wrong reasons.”
He then went on to say, “All of this could have been f**king settled a long f**king time ago if you would have just got off your f**king a$$ and cooked the f**king scallops the right f**king way!! Theyyyy’re raaaaaw!!!”
I love that show.

Was it the scallops or the John Dory? I guess we’ll never know.
Also worth noting- it’s a good thing he didn’t f*ck up the risotto. Imagine what he would have done then.
