Dog.
Man’s best friend.
A friend for life, you can do everything together. Now you can even throw back a few cold brews. Yepper, a guy in Oregon has come up with a dog beer; he calls it “Dawg Grog.” But you don’t have to worry about your furry friend getting plastered and humping more things than usual, because there is no alcohol in the brew.
What it is made of is low sodium vegetable broth, water, spent grain from a local brewery, ginger, cinnamon, flax seed, honey and glucosamine. Yum. This organic mix can be mixed in with dog food, or can be used as a stand alone treat. This is great, right? Well that all depends on your budget. It seems the one drawback of this vegan soup is the price tag. How about $36 for a six-pack of 16 ounce “plastic amber tinted bottles.”
I’m sorry but I draw the line at spending more money on hooch for my dog than for me. And faux hooch at that. Now if you search online, there are several other brands of dog beer and you can find some cheaper versions. But you’re still looking at $20 for a six…for a dog. Now, I love my dog, but if anyone in the house is drinking the good stuff, it’ s not going to be the bitch with four legs.

That’s just wrong. The money…and the dog drinking. But mostly the money.

$36 for broth with some healthy stuff thrown in. I could do that for about 35 cents.

Ha, I totally forgot about that. This guy is part of a brewery of which I’m guessing there might be a few. Fun times.

Question is…would he taste it first?
