Amazon has gotten in trouble before for being “unaware” of items displayed for sale. This one, however, is the lowest of low.
Most likely found by the second worst person in the world (the first being that who created these shirts in the first place), the items in question are t-shirts sporting the infamous KEEP CALM logo. This time, the shirts are finished with phrases like AND RAPE HER or AND KNIFE HER. Granted this was only on the Amazon site in the UK but ..pfftt..still. English humor never apologizes but this time it’s way too far.
Critics are pissed, demanding that Amazon donate to abuse charities showing that they are not rape friendly. It has sparked a huge out-lash, rightfully so. Who’s gonna wear a shirt condoning rape in public? A douche-bag, that’s who. Or Daniel Tosh.
The company founder at Solid Gold Bomb has apologized profusely but after social media gets ahold of something, dude, you’re toast. The shirts are off their website as well. Bad publicity? That’s really not the way to get business. Twitter got pissed too asking followers to boycott SGB and Amazon UK.
Someone needs a slap across the face. Oh, crap…that’s condoning violence too. I should go make a t-shirt then.

I think I have a pretty irreverent sense of humor. but this? this is not okay. this angers me to my core. how are rape jokes still happening? how?
and the idea that a company would even need to prove they’re not rape friendly? ew. no way should anyone be in any way friendly to rape! rape should have no friends, no acquaintances. the whole world should be adamantly against rape, bulling rape.
