Them Bones, Them Bones Left In My Backyard

Some homeowners who wanted to renovate their backyard got an opening scene to a Bones episode instead, without that dreamy David Boreanaz.  A couple in California just wanted to improve the look of their landscaping but a tractor revealed a skull. Their next door neighbor, who was the previous owner, told them that they would probably find dog bones from burying a family pet. No puppy bones were located and an anthropology team had tented off the area for hours.

That was yesterday.

Today, the previous owner, 65 year old Larry Dominguez, has been arrested. That antro team has confirmed to the media that the several bones found are human. The home owners have been evacuated and a full investigation is underway. The house’s history includes a fire in 2006 when Dominguez was living there. Dominguez is being held on suspicion of murder. It is still undetermined if the bones are male or female.

This real life incident could become one day featured as a Bones episode. I bet this investigation would go much faster if Temperance and Seely were on it.

  1. I don’t watch that show but how creepy is it to know your neighbor was getting all Gacy/Dahmer like in your house? *shudder*

  2. Because puppy skulls look SO MUCH LIKE human ones. Sheesh. That’s terrifying. Good thing he didn’t kill them, or they or the tractor owner were fast about calling in da witnesses. Sheesh. And now you say it’s his DAD. OMG

  3. Seriously, the fact that he told the new owners that they might find dog bones… Odd. If I had buried someone in my backyard you can bet your sweet ass I would live in that house until I died.
