Not doing your civic duty can lead to dire consequences, as one man from the town of Gilbert Arizona, found out. This lesson came at the hands of his wife Holly Solomon, 28, who was so upset over US President Barack Obama gaining another four years after last week’s elections, she ran her husband, Daniel, over with her SUV for what she believes was his contribution to Obama’s victory.
He didn’t vote.
“He shoulda voted.”
It all started last Saturday night when Solomon, who is six months pregnant, got into it with her husband over her worry that the Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare) would negatively affect her and her family. The events, as described by witnesses, unfolded in a parking lot close to their home. They say the couple argued over how Daniel’s failure to cast his ballot all but single-handedly put Obama back in the driver’s seat for another term.
I think I’ve heard this one before. Probably went something like, ” You failed to save this country from Obama, you failed as a husband and you’ll fail as a father too! You’re a failure! A no good failure of a man! My mom was right about you!”
Maybe I’m just projecting…
Anyway, witnesses say during the argument, Solomon got into her SUV and began chasing her husband around the parking lot, while still screaming at him. Recognizing that things had just gone from zero to crazy, Daniel ran and attempted to hide behind a pole (Works in cartoons, right?), but his wife, still shouting all the way, circled him in her Jeep (I can honestly not think of a scarier image than an angry, screaming woman in a large vehicle doing donuts around you in the middle of the night) until he decided to make a break for it. Holly continued to give chase until she eventually caught up with and hit Daniel, pinning him to the curb with the SUV.
If only Daniel had voted. He wouldn’t have been run over, his wife would be happy, Romney would be president, Obamacare would be gone and maybe, just maybe, those angry people in those countries over in the middle east would all hold hands and sing “We Are The World”, while the ozone layer started to heal. But no, Daniel wouldn’t exercise his right to vote. Now, we’re all fucked.

Anyway, Holly was arrested on charges of domestic violence and aggravated assault and, no, she wasn’t on anything at the time of the assault, according to police. Her husband, Daniel, who survived, was hospitalized and in critical condition on Saturday. He was reported as saying his wife basically ‘just hated Obama.’
Next time, though, he’s probably gonna vote. Just to be on the safe side.

too bad she doesn’t understand how voting works. Romney won Arizona without her husband’s vote.
